I hope everyone had an awesome Christmas and New Years! I thoroughly enjoyed my time off with boys and my hubby but now its back to work which I’m actually quite excited about because I have some pretty cool plans for 2018…
Kicking off my plans for 2018 is obviously the launch of my new website! I wanted to create a single platform where my followers can view and buy my art as well as take advantage of various learning resources that I plan to develop around coloured pencil (CP), and any other mediums I decide to try along the way.
You can now buy original artwork as well as home decor, prints, wall art, phone cases and heaps more products featuring my artwork through my Fine Art America Shop! Each product can be customized by changing the image sizes, background colours etc. to suit your preferences thus making your purchase more personal.
With its numerous global fulfilment centres, Fine Art America can ship anywhere in the world. And with a 30-day money-back guarantee you can shop in confidence!
Tips and techniques
I largely learned to be a CP artist through watching video tutorials and reading books. However a lot of what I have learned also comes from trial and error. There isn’t a one size fits all approach so we adapt the learned techniques to work for us. I would like to build an archive of tips & techniques that I use which will hopefully be able to help someone starting out.
To start, all Tips and Techniques will double up as blog posts until I have enough to create a separate section on my website.
Another goal, further into 2018, is to start my own YouTube channel!
Starting off I’d like to record time-lapse videos as well as some tips & techniques. Perhaps even some product & supply reviews. Over time my plan is to also provide full narrated tutorials where I will be able to show viewers step-by-step how I create each of my paintings.
If you have any ideas or requests for tutorials and videos, let me know by commenting below or by filling out my contact form and I will gladly oblige.
Lots of work ahead but I reckon it will be worth it…”nothing ventured nothing gained!” Bring on 2018!
